BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- Boston's own Aerosmith is heading for Las Vegas.
The band announced Wednesday they're starting an 18-date Vegas residency from April through July of 2019. Lead singer Steven Tyler said on the Today Show that the band is going to "keep it raw."
"We're gonna keep it who we are, there are gonna be no changes," he said. "It's not gonna be flory-dories, it's gonna be beautiful and rocked-out, and we're gonna get a chance to use some special effects that haven't been used before."
Drummer Joey Kramer said there will be an exhibit of their nearly 50-year history.
"As soon as you walk into the Park Theatre in Vegas, you're gonna walk into Aerosmith world," he said. "Everything about it is gonna be Aerosmith, Aerosmith, Aerosmith."
Tickets go on sale on August 24.
