PROVINCETOWN (WBZ-AM) -- Beach-goers in Provincetown were given a warning from above about a danger below.
In video taken from a Massachusetts State Police helicopter and shown above, a shark can be seen about 30 yards off Race Point Beach. Troopers Fairchild and Boulos were aboard the helicopter along with Provincetown Police Officer Rich Alves when they spotted the shark around 4 p.m. Thursday, and warned those on the beach to exit the water using the helicopter's PA system.
The sighting came one day after a man was bitten by a shark off Longhook Beach in Truro. The man suffered serious injuries to his leg and torso.
