NEW YORK (24/7 NewsSource) -- President Trump's former personal attorney Michael Cohen is pleading guilty to eight counts of tax evasion, bank fraud and campaign finance violations.
Cohen accepted a plea deal in a federal courtroom in New York Tuesday afternoon and will be facing prison time. Cohen admitted to setting up hush money payments to former Playboy model Karen McDougal and porn star Stormy Daniels, at the direction of "the candidate." Cohen was involved in Trump's 2016 presidential campaign.
It is unclear whether Cohen has agreed to cooperate in Special Counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation. Federal agents raided Cohen's office, home and hotel room in April and seized a large amount of documents and electronic equipment. Cohen once said he would take a bullet for President Trump.
