BOSTON, MA (WBZ-AM/ 24/7 NewsSource) -- Governor Charlie Baker is calling for the use of GPS tracking devices in vehicles used by state environmental police officers.

Baker's comments Tuesday came in response to recent reports that officers engaged in questionable overtime practices.

Environmental Police removed GPS tracking from cruisers three years ago, and the tracking has not been restored.  Baker says the return of GPS to those cruisers is an important next step.
