CAMBRIDGE, MA (24/7 NewsSource) -- The MBTA is reducing its proposed rate hike at the Alewife station parking garage in Cambridge. The daily rate to park at the garage will rise from $7-dollars to $9-dollars on September 1.
The rate was set to rise to $10-dollars, but was reduced in light of the major repairs that will be taking place at the garage next month.
The Alewife garage was closed for two weekends this month for repairs after falling concrete damaged a vehicle.
