Police Investigate Lowell Home Invasion

LOWELL, MA (WBZ-AM) --  Lowell Police are looking for two suspects connected to a violent home invasion in Lowell injuring two elderly residents.

Police say two men dressed in black wearing masks broke into a home on 5th Avenue around 3:40am

They demanded money from the elderly brother and sister who were asleep inside and assulted them before taking off with one of the victims' SUV's 

Both were taken to a local hospital with minor visible injuries.

Reid Homer lives across the street  and knows the victims.

"They don't deserve that, nice people always friendly always saying hello" he said. 

Police say that the suspects did not take any money, but the stolen SUV was eventually located and is being processed for evidence.
