Police: Student Called In Hoax Bomb Threat To His Bus

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. (AP) — A Massachusetts high school student is facing charges for calling in what police say was a hoax bomb threat to a school bus, resulting in its evacuation.

State police said they responded to a rest stop on Route 24 in Bridgewater on Friday afternoon for reports of a bomb threat on a bus carrying Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical High School students.

The Enterprise of Brockton reports the state police bomb squad searched the bus and did not find any bombs. Police later determined the threat came from a student on the bus.

The student's identity was not made public. The students were later put on another bus to be taken home.
