Natick Police Search For Teens Shooting Out Windows With BB Guns

NATICK (WBZ-AM) -- Police in Natick are looking for three vandals who have been shooting out windows with a BB gun--and say the trio have caused thousands of dollars in damage.

The Natick Police Department said incidents of windows being shot out were reported on Mercer, Porter, Pelham, Nolan, and Burning Tree Roads within the last week.

The department posted surveillance video and photos of the suspects on their Facebook page Tuesday, taken from a nearby business. They're hoping someone recognizes them.

There have been no injuries reported, but it's been scary for area residents like Kathleen Leombruno, who told WBZ-TV the teens' actions go beyond a prank.

"It's shocking, and it's just kind of bizarre, I'm not surprised," she said. "They're just trying to cause trouble, sadly."

Steve Strout's house was one of the home's hit. He told WBZ-TV he and his wife were watching TV when their double-pane window was struck.

"One of the bullets, if it had penetrated both panes of glass, would've missed my wife by maybe an inch," he said. "It's frustrating though that, once upon a time, when you did mischief, you'd throw an egg or two at a house."

Police also recovered two of the vandals' bikes, which they say they are checking for fingerprints. Anyone with information is asked to contact Natick Police Detectives at 508-647-9520.
