BOSTON, MA (WBZ-AM) -- The end date is near for Suffolk District Attorney Dan Conley. In Februray he announced that he would not seek a new term. On Wednesday he announced that that he will be resigning at the end of the month to take a job with a law firm.

He says he will miss serving the people of the commonwealth.
His departure, opened up the first open race for the Suffolk County District Attorney's job in decades. Rachel Rollins won the Democratic primary last week. She will face off against Brockton Defense Attorney Michael Maloney, an Independent in the November election.
