WORCESTER (24/7 NewsSource) -- The Worcester auditor says payments for the city's new ballpark can be made without dipping into tax revenue.

That means the city can bring the Pawtucket Red Sox to Worcester without using existing municipal tax revenue to pay for the construction. The auditor says there is a steady stream of revenue to support the debt bonds used to finance the ballpark.

The city is set to take up a proposed financial package at their meeting today.
