Worcester Man Sentenced For Unlawfully Collecting Medicare For 17 Years

WORCESTER (24/7 NewsSource) -- A Worcester man will spend over three years in prison for fraud and identity theft.

Jose Agosto was sentenced yesterday for unlawfully using the identity of a disabled Medicare beneficiary. The 51-year-old pleaded guilty in January to collecting Medicare for 17 years as part of the fraud.

Agosto will have three years of supervised release after his jail time, and has to pay over $11,000 in restitution.
