Police Looking To Reunite Bearded Dragon With Owner

North Andover, MA Police

NORTH ANDOVER, MA (WBZ-AM) - We're not exactly sure just how long this bearded dragon has been on the lam but the North Andover Police Department is hoping to reunite a bearded dragon with its owner.

Katie Kozikowski of the North Andover Animal Control tells WBZ NewsRadio1030's Laurie Kirby he's already had a rough journey.

"Somebody had thought it was a toy, and was trying to boot it out of the way, and may have accidentally hit it with their lawnmower. It turns out, thankfully, he didn't, but the little guy ran into the woods afterwards, so he's at least been in the area since Saturday." she said.

Kozikowski eventually picked him up on Merrimack Street, and he's now with her, safe and sound - even taking a few rides in the Animal Control cruiser.

Kozikowski says she wants to make sure he gets back home to his family - and soon. So, if you think he might be yours, give them a call. The number is 978-242-1511.

WBZ NewsRadio1030's Nichole Davis reports.
