Boston Philharmonic Artistic Director Suspended After Child Porn Charges

BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- The Boston Philharmonic Orchestra has suspended its artistic director following his arrest on child pornography charges.

David St. George, 71, was arrested Tuesday and charged in federal court with receipt and possession of child pornography. Authorities said they searched St. George's home and found thousands of files of child porn--including images of sexual assaults on children from six to eight years old.

St. George worked for the Philharmonic Orchestra as well as its Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. If convicted, he could spend years behind bars.
