Local Lawmakers React To Kavanaugh Hearings

BOSTON, MA (WBZ-AM) -- There was no shortage of local reaction from lawmakers following the Kavanaugh hearings in Washington D.C. Thursday.

Depending on what happens with the United State Senate's Judiciary Committee Friday -- a vote on Brett Kavanaugh could come before the Full Senate as early as Saturday

Massachusetts Senators Ed Markey and Elizabeth Warren have had no shortage of reaction

Senator Warren tweeting about Kavanaugh's refusal to submit to an FBI investigation - and failure to release documents from his government service.

Warren says 'a justice should have honesty & integrity' and that Kavanaugh has neither – she says 'he should withdraw.'

Referencing to Kavanaughs' testimony on Thursday, Senator Ed Markey says Kavanaugh displayed the exact opposite of the kind of temperament expected from a justice on our nation’s top court.

At times, Judge Kavanaugh was emotional and Michael Coyner,  President of the Massachusetts School of Law says the impact of that emotion, really is in the eye of the beholder.

And there was plenty of split reaction not just from the political circles but a vast division of opinions all over social media.
