BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- Yesterday marked a big win for the Patriots at Gillette and an even bigger day for the team's owner Robert Kraft. Brady, Belichick, and Co. quieted doubters as the Pats blasted the Dolphins, bringing their record to 2-2 on the season. Belichick addressed his players during the locker room celebration, courtesy of the team's website, and Kraft was humbled.
"Today was a special day for us, for Robert, his 300th win - quickest to 300 for any owner," the head coach said to cheers.
It took 25 seasons and 432 games for Kraft - faster than Al Davis's 495 games in Oakland. Belichick went on to present Kraft with the game ball.
"Our family is just a vehicle and a custodian of this great asset," Kraft said. "It's the players and coaches that did it. So thank you, this is a great thrill for me and my family and you're the reason it happened. I hope we're all together for 400."
