BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- A group of JetBlue Airways passengers have arrived safely back in Boston Monday morning after a dramatic escape from a plane that caught fire in Las Vegas.
The aircraft was speeding down the runway around noon Sunday, when smoke started pouring from an engine, prompting the pilot to abort takeoff and evacuate everyone on board.
Crews at Las Vegas' McCarran International Airport quickly put out the flames, and the 146 passengers were safely brought back to the terminal. No injuries were reported.
