BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- Nathan Eovaldi has a 1.93 ERA in four starts against the Yankees this year, but Luis Severino's no slouch.

The Yanks' All-Star and 19-game winner pitched four scoreless innings to help push his guys past the Athletics in the Wild Card play-in game in the Bronx, and he's eager to start Game 3 of the ALDS tonight.

"I think it's going to be like the Wild Card game, same atmosphere," Severino said. "The fans gonna be loud that day, and I'm looking forward to that night."

Severino went 10-2 with a 2.74 ERA in 15 home starts this year, compared to 9-and-6 with a 3-99 mark in 17 appearances on the road. Why does Luis suppose he's so much better in New York?

"I think it's just feeling like I'm at home, you know?" he said. "I feel like the mound is very good, but I can't tell any specific reason for that."

Severino posted a 3.56 ERA in five starts against the Red Sox this year, but the righty's limited them to three runs in 19 2/3 frames in his home ballpark. He has a 4.50 career postseason ERA in five starts.
