BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- Red Sox manager Alex Cora announced that Chris Sale and David Price will be the starting pitchers for games one and two of the American League Championship series. It's no surprise that Sale will get the nod in game one Saturday night, but many an eyebrow was lifted when Cora stuck to his guns and said beleaguered lefty David Price will pitch in game two.

Price's post-season resume is less than stellar, with no mak more glaring than last Saturday's embarrassing loss to New York - an inning and two-thirds outing that left sox fans reeling, and Price's ERA over 16. But his boss believes in him.

"He's ready for the challenge," said Cora. "And I'm looking forward to see him pitch."
