BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- Josh Gordon scored his first touchdown as a member of the Patriots in last week's two-catch, 50-yard performance in a blowout win of the Colts. Fellow receiver Julian Edelman is excited to see what the talented wideout can accomplish as the season moves along.
"Great teammate," Edelman said. "I really think he could be a really big piece of us. It's exciting to be around him. He loves football, you can tell. He works hard he knows his stuff. It's getting more and more fun."
Boston Globe NFL writer Ben Volin told WBZ Gordon's impact should only keep growing.
"I'd say a continuation of what Gordon's been giving them so far. And that's about 18-20 snaps per game, they'll throw him 4 or 5 balls, a couple slant passes, and a couple breakdown plays," Volin explained. "Gordon should be good for a few catches a game, some yards after the catch, maybe some big third down plays.
The co-AFC East-leading Pats will host the 5-0 Chiefs Sunday night.
