Senators Debate Health Care Bill On Capitol Hill

BOSTON, MA (WBZ-AM) -- Police in Maine are looking into what they call a suspicious letter sent to Maine Senator Susan Collins.

Sgt. Wade Betters of Bangor Police says that police responded to the home around 1:39 p.m.

Streets around the Senator's home are closed and a Hazmat Team has been called in.

Betters says he believes the public is safe.  So far -- no reported injuries-- no word on a suspect. It's also not clear what's in the letter.
