Bishop Who Appeared At Royal Wedding Coming To Massachusetts

WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) — The American Episcopal bishop who made headlines around the world with his stirring sermon about the power of love at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is coming to Massachusetts.

The Most Reverend Michael Curry, Presiding Bishop and Primate of the Episcopal Church, is scheduled to preach Sunday at a revival sponsored by the Episcopal Diocese of Western Massachusetts.

Curry is first scheduled to appear at First United Methodist Church in Pittsfield at 1 p.m.

He will then preach at the Hanover Theater in Worcester at 5 p.m.

Curry is the first black leader of the Episcopal Church in the United States. His fiery sermon at the May 19 royal wedding offered a contrast to the more solemn Anglican style that most guests were used to.
