CONCORD, MA (WBZ-AM) -- A construction worker has died in an industrial accident in Concord Tuesday afternoon.

Concord Police Chief Joseph O'Connor tells WBZ NewsRadio1030 that they received a 9-1-1 call shortly before 2 p.m. from a construction site at 185 Powder Mill Road.

That is the site of the Willard Elementary School.

O'Connor says that the man was working on a sewer project when he was killed. They believe that a piece of equipment on a truck experienced some kind of mechanical or operator issue, resulting in the worker's death.  OSHA has been called to investigate.

The worker was pronounced dead at the scene. The Middlesex District Attorney's office said that the death was not considered suspicious that and their identity was not being released at this time.
