Police Searching For Pistol-Whipping Robber

STOUGHTON, MA (WBZ-AM) -- Police in Stoughton are looking for a man who pistol-whipped a convenience store clerk during an attempted to a robbery late Sunday night.

They say that shortly before midnight a masked man with a gun entered the Quick Stop Convenience store on Central Street demanding cash. Police then say when the store clerk refused to hand over the cash, the suspect pistol-whipped the clerk and fired one round. The clerk was not hit by the gunfire.

The suspect then ran off and was not caught by Police. 

Stoughton Police released a photo of the suspect from the store surveillance video on their Facebook Page.

He is described as a black male with a thin build. He was wearing a black hooded jacket, dark pants and a red bandana covering parts of his face.
