CHELSEA, MA (WBZ-AM) -- Police in Chelsea have confirmed to WBZ NewsRadio1030 that shots were fired at a car Wednesday afternoon.
No one was hit but as a precaution a local school, the Shurtleff School was placed on lockdown as a precaution.
The shots were fired about 1:30PM in the 100 block of Congress Avenue. Police were notified through their shotspoter notification system. They say that one person is now in custody and what appears to be a firearm recovered. Police are still looking for more suspects.
School Bus Pick-Ups are being delayed until 2:30 PM.
State Police also responded with an Air-Wing and K-9 Unit.
