BOSTON (WBZ-AM) — It’s wicked windy out there. The National Weather Service issued a wind warning with gusts reaching up to 60 mph.

The Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency has reported power outages across the state due to the winds.

The National Weather Service warns against damage to trees and property, along with power outages. The high winds are expected to affect central and northeastern Massachusetts.

In Wilmington, winds knocked down a tree across West Street, taking power lines down with it. The tree landed on a vehicle.

The high winds will take place through 8 p.m. Saturday evening.
