BOSTON (WBZ-AM) — The Boston College Eagles will play the Clemson Tigers Saturday night. The Eagles are in the top 20, while the Tigers are currently number two in the country.

Campus security will be handled for the first time by a former Boston police commissioner — William Evans.

Boston College Police Chief Evans said the security plan is in place and ready to go.

“There’ll be a heavy presence to make sure, not only is the event locked down pretty good and secure, but also making sure the partying doesn’t get out of control,” Evans said.

Some Clemson fans drove 16 hours to Boston for the game.

“We all bought tickets before the season even started for this game,” one fan said. “It ended up being a big game.”

Kickoff is at 8 p.m.
