LOWELL, MA (WBZ-AM) — The Lowell Community Health Center confirmed a case of measles in a pediatric patient Friday.
The patient was immediately isolated after being diagnosed at the clinic. That patient is now recovering at home.
The Lowell Community Health Center warns that anyone who was in the clinic’s main lobby, pediatric waiting room, pharmacy or lab between roughly 1 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Friday night may have been exposed to measles.
Those who have already received their vaccinations, or were born before 1957 are not at risk. Those remaining are asked to come into the Lowell Community Health Center for testing.
