BOSTON (WBZ-AM) — As wildfires in California rage, a New Hampshire woman and her family continue to try to make contact with her 83-year-old mother.
Diane Forsman’s mother, Jean, is homebound and tethered to an oxygen tank near Paradise, Calif. — a town currently affected by a fast-moving wildfire.
Forsman said satellite imagery of the area is giving her hope.
“The emergency number that we’ve been contacting — because 911 doesn’t work up there — also stated it appeared that that area might have been missed,” Forsman said.
There is also a chance a neighbor rescued Forsman’s mother.
“I’m a person of faith, so pray works too,” Forsman said.
