Joe Perry Collapses At Madison Square Garden

NEW YORK, NY (WBZ-AM) — Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry was rushed to the hospital minutes after performing with Billy Joel at Madison Square Garden Saturday.  

According to the NY Daily News, Perry collapsed in his dressing room after performing Aerosmith’s “Walk This Way.” A tracheal tube was inserted into Perry’s throat to clear his airways. The guitarist was wheeled out of the venue on a stretcher.

Perry is still in the hospital, but is reportedly awake and doing well, according to TMZ. 

This is not Perry’s first incident. The Aerosmith guitarist previously collapsed backstage during a 2016 Hollywood Vampires performance in New York, according to Rolling Stone.

Perry is scheduled go on a solo tour starting Nov. 30, according to his website.
