SHARON, MA (WBZ-AM) — A violent home invasion in Sharon occurred Thursday night.
“It was frightening and violent for this family,” Deputy Police Chief Don Brewer said.
Suspect Ricardo Francis of Hyde Park crashed his car into a parked car in the driveway of the home on Billings Street.
According to police, Francis then entered the home and began assaulting the mother, and terrorizing her children.
“Someone who was violent, who was hitting the mother — there may have been a knife involved. [It is] sounding like he was thinking that he was home and not in someone else’s home,” Brewer said.
The mother was treated and released from the hospital. The children were not physically harmed. Francis is scheduled to be arraigned Friday in Stoughton District Court.
