MA High School Football Teams Toss Turkey For Charity

Twelve high school teams took part in this year's Kiss 108 "Matty's Turkey Toss".

First up was Arlington High School, with a very long, successful toss of the frozen bird - even after a little controversy with a swapped out turkey later in the competition, which left defending champ Everett with an additional toss. Arlington ended up taking the win with that original hurl.

Matt Siegel, host of Matty In the Morning on Kiss 108, says "Arlington set the bar so high, nobody could actually reach it. There was a little whining from Everett, not gonna lie. We gave them a second chance and they didn't do it."

Arlington's winning pair - seniors Tim Mazzei and Leo Minnitti - say they bought a turkey (26 pounds, to be exact) and have been practicing for the event.

Siegel's competition goes back more than 20 years. Proceeds are donated to the Greater Boston Food Bank.
