Emergency Landing At Logan Caused By Possible Bird Strike

BOSTON (WBZ-AM) — An American Airlines flight — headed to Miami — made an emergency landing at Boston Logan International Airport after a possible bird strike.

“The flight landed basically without incident and taxied to the gate. Our maintenance team are evaluating the aircraft and we are re-booking our customers on an alternative aircraft,” American Airlines spokesperson Jeanine Brown said. “We hope to get our passengers on their way to Miami as soon as possible. And we do apologize for the inconvenience.”

The incident occurred just after take off around 7:30 a.m. Saturday.
