QUINCY, Mass. (WBZ-AM) — Despite the threat of the bad weather, Quincy held their annual Christmas parade Sunday.

The parade featured Santa, who was preceded by a police motorcade, floats, and bands. Among the bands was the Action-Boxborough Marching Band.

Parade attendee Andrea has been coming to the event with her sisters for 30 years. Andrea danced at the parade, while drinking soda water and lime out of green cups.

“This is a family tradition,” Andrea said. “We love the parade.”

Santa was escorted by Quincy firefighters as he has been in previous years.

A committee met Saturday night to determine whether Sunday’s parade would be postponed after bad weather was predicted.
