This Cyber Monday Was The Biggest Online Shopping Day Ever

BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- Yesterday's 'Cyber Monday' was the biggest day in history for online shopping, shattering previous records.

Sales totaled a projected $7.9 billion, a whopping 20 percent increase over last year. The final three hours of Cyber Monday alone saw $1.7 billion in purchases. $16.5 billion in sales were recorded from Thursday to Sunday.

It wasn't just Monday that people went online to do their shopping--Black Friday saw a 24 percent increase in online sales as people said goodbye to the mall. But don't worry about brick and mortar shops--they're figuring out how to get a piece of the pie. Buy online, pickup in-store business went up an astronomical 50 percent this year.
