BOSTON, Mass (WBZ-AM) — Police are searching for the driver who committed a late-night carjacking on I-290.
It started at midnight Thursday when a male in a Dodge pickup truck refused to stop for police in Webster.
He then led authorities on a chase along I-395 and went the wrong way up the ramp to I-290 eastbound where he crashed. The suspect then fled the pickup truck and hijacked another car at gunpoint.
State Troopers located that car but eventually called off the chase in Worcester -- they are currently questioning the two female passengers from the suspect's pickup truck. No injuries were reported.
