BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- I've got 3 young boys at home. The oldest is 6, youngest is 6 months. We're in the trenches. Any parent can relate.

But, newly-healthy Patriots running back Rex Burkhead's not only eligible to play Sunday against the Vikings after being sidelined a few months with a neck injury--he's also a new dad!

"New little boy in the family, so that's been exciting for sure," Burkhead said. "It's just such a blessing to have a healthy boy, and learning the tricks of the trade of fatherhood and figuring things out there. It's been a blast."

I don't imagine Rex is listening but, if you are, just remember a few things:

There's no ONE right way to parent.

Do what works for you.

Sleep whenever you can--nap when the baby does.

That black, crusty thing in the belly button is from where they cut the cord--it'll fall off soon.

And do absolutely anything your wife asks.

Oh, and when you're changing diapers--YES, it's supposed to look like that for a little while. There's nothing wrong--just, gross.
