BURLINGTON, VT (WBZ-AM)-- High profile Bernie Sanders supporters rally in Burlington for a three day event celebrating his progressive agenda. The Vermont senator is reasserting himself as a leading voice in democratic politics, calling for more liberal policies involving climate change, civil rights, universal health care and a $15 minimum wage.
Attendees of the gathering are a list of Sanders' highest-profile supporters, including actors Danny Glover, Susan Sarandon, John Cusack and Cynthia Nixon. Also expected are activist Dr. Cornel West and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio. Media and politicians from other countries are present as well.
No word yet on whether sanders will run for president in 2020.
