REVERE (WBZ-AM) -- One child was killed and her two-month-old sister is in critical condition after they were struck by an SUV Sunday night.
Autumn Harris, 42 of Boston, is charged with motor vehicle homicide and negligent operation, and could face additional charges.
State Police said Harris struck two women and three children who were standing on a sidewalk on Route 145 near North Shore Road around 5 p.m. A five-year-old girl was confirmed dead at the scene.
Her two-month-old sister was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
An online fundraising account has been established for the family to offset medical and funeral costs.
A 27-year old woman was taken to MGH with non-life-threatening injuries, and the other woman and two-year-old child were taken to the hospital with injuries described as minor.
Police are still investigating what caused the crash.
