BOSTON (WBZ-AM) — The Patriots fell 34-33 in Miami Sunday, causing New England to drop to 16 wins and 38 losses all-time in South Beach.
“Tough one to figure out. We worked hard all week to have a different outcome. Just got to keep on grinding man, just got to keep on going. That’s all you can do now — just keep on putting good practices together, come together as a team, and just keep working,” tight end Rob Gronkowski said.
Quaterback Tom Brady now has seven wins and 10 losses against the Dolphins for games played in Miami — including five losses in his last six trips.
“They play well, we haven’t,” Brady said. “They made some great plays today. They made one more than we did. That’s the way it goes.”
Patriots were seconds away from clinching their 10th consecutive division title before the loss.
New England will play the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday.
