BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- The champion Red Sox have re-signed Nathan Eovaldi and Steve Pearce, but their bullpen took its first big loss.

Lights-out reliever Joe Kelly's reportedly headed home to the Dodgers on a 3-year, $25 million deal.

Kelly's from Riverside, California, which is less than an hour from Los Angeles.

Kelly spent parts of five seasons in Boston after being acquired from St. Louis in 2014, and he was a World Series hero in October, pitching six scoreless innings while appearing in every game against his new team.

Kelly's time in Boston was marred by inconsistency, but he was a clubhouse favorite and always showed up when the lights were brightest. The righty pitched in 17 2/3 postseason innings for the Sox, allowing just one earned run, with 17 strikeouts, and not a single walk.
