BOSTON (WBZ-AM) — Thousands of children from across the city are celebrating the holiday season at the South Boston Convention and Exhibition Center for the 2018 Christmas in the City event.
This year is the biggest the event has ever been. Children served by social service agencies arrived on school buses, and greeted with cheers.
“It kind of reminds me of Disney Land a little,” attendee 10-year-old Javal Lewis said.
Some of the increased numbers are due to September’s gas explosions in Merrimack Valley.
