Two Killed In Connecticut Crash On Interstate 95

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Police say two people were killed in a crash in Connecticut on Interstate 95.

State Police in Connecticut say 38-year-old Jose Gonzalez was driving in the wrong direction on I-95 South and collided with another car early Sunday. The accident happened north of Exit 91 in Stonington, Connecticut, near the border with Rhode Island.

Police say the car that Gonzalez hit was driven by 26-year-old Stephane Francois, of Brockton, Massachusetts. Francois' passenger, 26-year-old Lorna Valcin was pronounced dead at the scene. A second passenger, 26-year-old Jerome Aullychard, was transported to Rhode Island Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Gonzalez's passenger, 37-year-old Eric Ramakers, was also pronounced dead at the scene. Gonzalez and Francois both sustained serious injuries.

Police are asking witnesses to contact them.

The highway was temporarily closed.
