BOSTON (WBZ-AM) — Super Saturday — or the last Saturday before Christmas — is a shopping day that could bring in more sales than Black Friday for retailers.
WBZ NewsRadio1030’s Karyn Regal spoke with retail workers about Super Saturday, including one worker, Brenda, who huddled in the carriage corral at Assembly Square in Somerville. She held her back to the wind, protecting the cigarette she was smoking.
“It’s almost over, it’s almost over,” Brenda said, inhaling.
Brenda had to park far away from the store where she works.
“We were trying to find something near the Christmas Tree Shop, and then someone took that. And then, we came around here and we stopped, and then someone took our spot. So, then we were trying to come around here and find something,” Brenda said.
