SALEM, N.H. (AP) — Police in New Hampshire are searching for a man who shot a good Samaritan who had stopped to help.
Authorities say the victim was driving in Salem Saturday evening when he saw a man lying in the middle of the road and pulled over.
WMUR-TV reports the man then pulled out a razor or box cutter and told the victim to hand over his wallet.
Salem Police Capt. Joel Dolan says the suspect demanded more items from the victim's vehicle, and a struggle ensued inside the car.
Dolan says a gun went off, and the victim suffered an injury to his left hand.
An investigation is ongoing.
