Two More Pot Shops Cleared To Open In Massachusetts

BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- New retail marijuana stores have been given the okay to open in the Bay State.

The Cannabis Control Commission has issued notices authorizing I.N.S.A., Inc. of Easthampton and Verilife of Wareham to begin selling non-medical marijuana to adults 21 or older as early as Friday.

Verilife and I.N.S.A. will become the fourth and fifth recreational marijuana stores to open since Massachusetts voters legalized cannabis in 2016.

According to sales data released by the CCC, the first two stores in Massachusetts sold more than $7 million worth of marijuana and marijuana products within the first two and a half weeks of opening.
