WALPOLE (AP) — A Walpole police officer was flown to the hospital by helicopter after a single-car crash in Massachusetts.
Authorities say the officer was hurt at around 2 p.m. Monday when their police cruiser went off the road and struck a tree.
The officer was flown to a hospital in Boston for "precautionary measures."
The officer's name and current condition have not been released, but Deputy Chief Christopher Mackenzie says the injuries are not life threatening.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
