BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- Patriots fans will remember this one. We've been laughing at it for years.
After the Pats absolutely waxed the Colts by 38 points in the 2014 AFC Championship Game, Indianapolis had the ultimate "We're just happy to be here" moment when it infamously hung a participation banner that said "2014 AFC Finalist."
It's widely viewed as pathetic. Could've at least gone for an "AFC South Champs" banner.
In New England, if you want a banner, you win a Super Bowl. That's why there are five in Foxboro and that's it!
Well, Colts have won five straight--including last weekend's triumph of the Texans and, for some reason, they thought it was a good idea to raise a flag outside Lucas Oil Stadium that simply reads, "1-0," to mark their first win of these playoffs and first in five years.
Of course, they got dragged on Twitter.
The Colts aren't fazed, though. They've even proudly put the "1-0" banner on a shirt.
Now that's how ya live in the moment!
I guess it's safe to assume they'll put up a new "2-0" one if they upset the top-seed Chiefs this weekend?
You know what? I hope they do. If the Pats beat the Chargers and the Colts win as well, the AFC title round is coming back to Gillette.
