BOSTON (WBZ-AM) — The historic Boston restaurant, Durgin-Park, is closing its doors Saturday.

The restaurant, located in Faneuil Hall, first opened in 1827. Employees were first told of the closure on Jan.3. Despite reported efforts of keeping the restaurant open, Durgin-Park is officially saying goodbye.

According to the Associated Press, the closure is due to fewer customers and higher expenses.
