BROCKTON, MA  (WBZ-AM)--A snow plow hits a gas line in Brockton owned and maintained by Columbia Gas causing a leak and shutting down the nearby MBTA commuter rail as a precaution.

The accident happened around 10 Oak Hill Way. Crews rigged a temporary solution to the leak to make sure area folks could keep gas service and heat during the freezing weather.  According to officials a permanent repair will be put in place after the weather warms.

MEMA announced it is standing by to give assistance if necessary.
