SAUGUS, Mass. (AP) - A police dispatcher in Saugus is being credited with saving the life of a newborn boy who was born in a minivan.
Interim Police Chief Ronald Giorgetti says dispatcher Ryan Bancroft talked the father through Monday morning's delivery of the baby who was not breathing and had the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck.
The chief says the dispatcher talked the man through removing the cord and then performing CPR, which revived the child.
